In my previous post I wrote about me being an Information Addict, and showed all the eBooks that I have read.

So which eBooks or rather what information I wish I had read when I first started out? Here’s the list.

1. Holly Mann’s “Honest Riches 2″

Holly Mann’s Honest Riches 2

First of all, Holly Mann’s Honest Riches 2 is not free. :) But it’s definitely worth the low price of US$37.

Holly Mann’s Honest Riches 2 is the second eBook I brought since I started internet marketing, and I still highly recommend it for newbies. One point internet marketing beginners should take note is Honest Riches 2 DOES NOT cover everything you need to learn in internet marketing.

For example Holly Mann does not teach HTML in her book. There are lots of other books dedicated to teaching HTML.

Rather, I feel that Holly Mann’s “Honest Riches 2″ does well in introducing to beginners the different possibilities of earning money on the internet, and getting started quickly. She even devoted an entire chapter explaining how beginners can make money without a website.

Overall I feel Honest Riches is an excellent eBook for beginners to get their hands dirty first and start earning money online, before they move on to learn more. Makes an excellent stepping stone for internet marketing beginners and intermediates.

I have a full review of Honest Riches 2 right here.

2. Rich Schefren’s “Internet Business Manifesto” *FREE

Rich Schefren’s Internet Business Manifesto

Rich Schefren’s Internet Business Manifesto is an excellent eBook for beginners to understand that they are RUNNING A BUSINESS.

He also pointed out that soon big offline companies will enter the online market with all the resources and man-power typical work-at-home internet marketers do not have. He empathize that internet marketers have to put in the time and effort now to prepare to compete with these big offline companies.

After I read this eBook last month, it began to hit me that the past 6 months I wasn’t really working seriously on my online ventures since I did not take take it that I’m running a business and did not put in the necessary time and effort needed.

In addition, Rich Schefren explains clearly the importance of taking a strategic view when running your online business, and not merely just be an opportunity seeker, hoping from one approach to another.

Rich Schefren will get you to start your internet marketing business with the right mindset…that you are RUNNING A BUSINESS!

*Note. Internet Business Manifesto has actually three parts to it. What I recommended here is only the first part.

Second part, Internet Business Manifesto: The Missing Chapter

and third part, Internet Business Manifesto: The Final Chapter.

I have not read them, but I’m sure they are important too, so be sure to read them to get the whole picture of what Rich Schefren is teaching about RUNNING A BUSINESS. :)

3. Rich Schefren’s “The Attention Doctrine” *FREE

Rich Schefren’s The Attention Age

Again Rich Schefren. Here, he explains how information overloading is overwhelming people nowadays, due to instant availability of information through technology around us.

Honestly, I can’t really pinpoint what Rich Schefren is trying to say ultimately in The Attention Doctrine, since Rich Schefren did not actually finish writing the eBook and releasing the other parts later.

At the start of the book, he is talking about how the economy is now changing to from “The Information Age” into “The Attention Age”, and why entrepreneurs must change their business to compete for their customers’ attention.

Then he moves on to explain why information overloading is so common nowadays, the causes of information overloading and it’s symptoms. How it negatively affects our way to thinking and how our productivity is reduced.

What I recommend internet marketing newbies to take note of is the latter part where Rich Schefren talks about information overloading and how it can actually destroy the chances of entrepreneurs building their dream businesses.

I have previously talked about it here. Go take a look.

4. WordTracker’s “Keyword Research Guide” *FREE

WordTracker’s Keyword Research Guide

An easy-to-digest guide on how to do proper keyword research and how to use it to improve your online business. And presented in a delightful context on how Susan Webster, CEO of a fictional dog food company, use keyword research to improve the prospects of the ailing company.

Holly Mann empathized the importance of keyword research in Honest Riches 2, and I feel that WordTracker’s Keyword Research Guide is an excellent complimentary read to what Holly has taught in Honest Riches 2.

A practical guide on how to do Keyword Research, and if nothing else it’s a good read too. :)

5. Sign up for Derek Ghel’s Internet Marketing Center (IMC) Insider Newsletter *Free

I can’t say I have read every newsletter that comes into my Thunderbird email client software.

But everytime I read it once in a while, I find the information very easy to digest, and constantly revises my basic internet marketing skills and knowledge.

I remembered there is one issue in April where they conducted a survey to find out what other valuable newsletters IMC Insider subscribers enjoy reading, and actually recommend readers to check them out! Great stuff.

It’s definitely a good read for beginners.

————————————————–

After you have finished reading the above eBooks and read one or 2 of IMC’s Insider newsletters, you may want to check out the following free eBooks written by 2 very successful professional bloggers.

If you decide to work towards being an professtional blogger…you MUST read these 2 free eBooks.

Yaro Starak’s Blog Profits BlueprintYaro Starak is a successful entrepreneur from Australia, has created, managed and sold several different Internet businesses since 1998, and one of the few professional bloggers whom I feel has a genuine passion to teach others what he had learned and experienced in his businesses.

Blog Profits Blueprint is actually a pre-sell to his “Blog Mastermind” coaching program. But he DID NOT attempt to promote his coaching program throughout Blog Profits Blueprint, or the latter would have just ended up “spam’ed” with advertising. In fact, he mentioned his coaching program only ONCE at the very end of the eBook.

Other than that, Blog Profits Blueprint is a great eBook on professional blogging packed with good content. An introduction to blogging, why you must build great “Pillar” content in your blog first before promoting it…how to promote your blog and when you have the traffic, how to monetize it.

He has been coached by Rich Schefren before, and his teachings are quite evident in Blog Profits Blueprint where Yaro talks about the importance of leveraging, and running your business on a system instead of you so you can spend your time elsewhere.

After I read through the Blueprint, I felt really grateful Yaro decided to released it for free.

I really like Yaro Starak’s style. Deliver first then ask later. A great guy to learn from. :)

John Chow’s Make Money Online With John Chow’s dot ComJohn Chow is another successful professional blogger. He is infamous/unique as being “EVIL”…but honestly I don’t really find him offensive. Maybe I have yet to read his most offensive blog posts so far.

Still I find John Chow a very interesting guy. His blog posts are very informative and interesting, and above Yaro’s scope of discussion. Yaro is for beginners to intermediates, and John Chow is for more advanced marketers. At least that’s the way I compare them.

Anyway, John released his few eBook “Make Money Online With John Chow’s dot Com” back in May, and it’s fantastic. It’s probably the most boring looking eBook compared to others here, as you can see on the right. But don’t judge a book by its cover. :)

Around the same thickness as Blog Profits Blueprint and covering around the same area, John covers in more technical depth. For example, he lists the plugins all Wordpress blogs must have.

In all, I felt that if you are into blogging, you MUST read these 2 books as they seems to complement well with each other.

And since they are released within the past 2 months, you are guaranteed that you have spent your valuable time and attention on the best and latest information available from 2 big guns in the professional blogging community.

——————————————-

Alright, that’s all for this post. Remember that you MUST focus your attention only on what you need to know at the moment. I hope these eBooks I recommend are what Internet Marketing newbies need at the moment…which is what are the possibilities and how to get started.

Happy reading! :)
