Last week I got my opt-in page for Success University, at OnlineSuccessBiz.com, paid for 1000 clicks using EmailCashPro.

It went rather well, managed to get subscribers in. But here are 2 things which I think you have to know when setting up your autoresponder.

• Set your opt-in settings such that your subscriber do not have to confirm their email.

I looked at my GetResponse stats…I got 88 plus confirmed opt-in subscribers so far 2 days after my ad was broadcast. And 44 subscribers are out of reach because they have not clicked their confirmation email yet.

So, go for the single-confirmation opt-in for your autoresponder. Every subscriber counts, and you wouldn’t want to miss out prospects who forgot to check their confirmation email, especially when you paid for them.

And place a line below your opt-in box asking prospects to check their email after they have opted-in to encourage them to look at your first follow-up email to them.

• Make sure your opt-in webpage looks okay in both Firefox and Internet Explorer

At first when I published my opt-in page, the latter looks great in Internet Explorer, but is messed up in Firefox. Not wanting to be tied down by technicalities, I went ahead, published my opt-in webpage and started to direct paid traffic to it, think that it should be alright since most people use Internet Explorer. Or so I thought.

I check my Google Analytics account and was shocked to see that more than 50% of traffic to that opt-in webpage are using FireFox. That means they see a messed up webpage along with a opt-in box(where they enter their name and email) which is not aligned properly.

Not very professional. I consulted Edmund Toh of Billionaire-Kid.com. I tried working on the problem on my own for almost a week with no luck, and he solved it in little more than 5 minutes.
